Default Coilpack Conversion

I've now bit the bullet and ordered this of MSD on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...8319&rd=1&rd=1

One of my current HT leads is breaking down and causing me problems, car runs fun if I clean the spark plug but after a couple of days it stops working again

I reckon the coilpack conversion will sort the problem out and will sit in nicely with my recent engine mods, shouldn't hopefully have many more problems to sort out after this. Shame I won't be able to fit it in time for the rolling road day on 3rd.

Could have it running by Wednesday but I'm going to be stuck at work we're always very busy at month end and then the first few days of a new month are spent running sales out reports so I can't get time off

Is it plug and play?

With no other chips needed or anything?

No extra mapping involved, or setting up boost and fuel again etc?

Yes. All bolt on goods. No change to teh ecu's chips or the cars fuelling etc. A couple of hours work and you simply have a better ignition system.

Got the kit today GOing to fit it Sunday morning in case something goes horribly wrong and I can't make Saturday.

Took the car out sat AM to get a couple of parts for the Fiesta misfired like mad for 2 miles filled it with fuel and then it was fine. Going to give the plugs a clean Friday night and it should be fine.

Roosie,

The lambda closed loop conversion has nothing to do with the coil pack
conversion here. Seperate conversion

Fitted the kit this afternoon, had to get the car part in the garage as it was raining I had to fit the stuff this afternoon as I removed the ECU yesterday afternoon so I could get my dad to solder the driver wires in.

Had to route the two wires through the bulkhead near my battery where there was a spare hole as I couldn't get to the one under the ABS block, will sort this out at a later date.

Car fired up first time and with no misfire Instructions are spot on though we did get confused with one point regarding the driver board but passionford came to the rescue.
