Default lowering

i measured between the wheel and tyre on my fiesta, the front is 60mm about and the back is about 100mm, most people have told me to go about 40mm lower, does it actually lower 40mm on both front and back or what? becouse my fiesta arse end was higher than the front to start with aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

yeah it will lower it by 40mm.

you want the front a bit lower than the back anyway cos your FWD more traction!

Providing everything is correct on the car (right dampers, wishbones etc), then rely on the Spring manufacturers measurements. Don't get me wrong, you won't necessarily get 40mm out of a 40mm set of springs. Try and ignore where it sits now as it could have saggy front springs etc.

Further to that, I would go 40mm maximum if I were you. Anything over that and it will want lowered shocks (best to do that anyway) and it will be awful to drive.

Hope this helps.
