Crank sensor
make sure the head is clean and the gap between the sensor and the lugs on the crank pully is no more than 0.3mm.
then check the wiring plug - clean all the shit out of it and use a cleaning fluid to remove the green and tarnish off the connectors.

ahhhhh, just read the alloy pully part.
the crank sensor is essentially a proximity sensor and needs a ferrous metal for it to work properly, and the alloy pulley is non-ferrous, IE - non magnetic, thus won't work properly.
I can 99% garantee that when you put the original pully back on, you won't have problems
