while looking at cost of doing a mk6 on throttle boddies i think it would be a lot cheaper just to fit a 2L to a mk6 and just tune it, wot power can i expect from Cams, Chip, 4 branch, filter gas flow etc. Was thinking of a rs2000 but been told there expensive to tune and want something different anyway.

Thinking of using a mk5 gti as a base as there a nice car to start with.

 

All i can say is so far i have spent Ł586 and i have a set of bike throttle bodies on a modded manifold for a zetec a mega squirt ecu which im having custom built towhat i want and an automatic 2.0 zetec engine which has only done 60k all im short of is a car to put it in lol hoping to get around 170bhp without cams for now.

I have not seen much past 155 with what you looking at as the std inlet is as usual restrictive so its up to you it can be done on a budget mine is Ł1000 to have the whole thing done and i know the car is gonna be a shed but ill get it working right lol

 

i did one with fudgeeee about 2 years ago now.
just change the head and block for 2ltr ones.. keep everything else }(external of the block/head) the same

get it set up, and they are nice!

zetecs are straight swap no worries

 

cost quite alot lol, im doing a 130ps 1.8 with tb's ms 4-2-1 de-cat st170inlet and has cost alot so far havnt worked out how much but prob on the wrong side of 1k
