I think the 200 sx would be a great idea! Has it been done before?

Just go for rover V8, no point tryin to go turbo in carpi, my mate had a tt capri and it just ruined it (to snappy with on off turbo power). Capris just dont handle, so stay with low end grunt and it will improve the sideways action.

good point but if you do have your eyes set on a turbo it would be a good option.

reliable and easy to get to 250bhp

200 sx's only have smaller T2's [or equivalent] on them anyway don't they? So the power will be a bit smoother like a standard fezzy.

I'd say go for it and be different, especially at that price

And I went in a TT converted capri once, you're right, they are pants

V8

get 280bhp in your sleep out of a chevy v8 or something similar. Could even go the whole way and get a ford racing V8 crate motor

this something i've been thinking when my engines died
the geezers down "Tickover" in bexley do a cossie 2.9 engine dropped in for £2k they said that would plenty of low down torque you need

even topboss are cheaper than 2k for a 2.9 cossie conversion, thats a lot of wonga for a 200quid engine

i'd say V6 or V8, FAR too much argo making anything else fit...

Hahaha thanks for your comments!

I really really want a turbo lol

The ultimate being the YB-t... but its a lot of ££ for an engine that can do the same as a £350...

Im thinking whack in the jap lump and see how i get on... if not ill go yb or small block v8

A dream has always been a cossie capri... but i cant justify painf £1500 for a cosworth engine when a £350 one will do the same thing but with nissan written on it

You gota cossie it! cant put a jap in a ford! Be better off turboing the v6 would work out far less work.
And whoever said capris dont handle, hasnt a clue, only people who have this opinion is people who cant drive!
