Default chipping

I am interested to know as a newbie, when buying a stage 3 chip, are they all pretty much similar (I realise the horsepower is roughly same) or do you get some that are more drivable some more peak power etc. I am mainly asking coz i wanna go to stage 3 soon and would like a chip/map that breaks your neck when it comes on boost

mine has a stg3 ahmed bayjoo chip fitted, along with a genuine rs500 intercooler, a new t35 hybrid turbo and a -34 actuator, it's running 22 psi and it rip's ya head off when it comes on full boost.

however everyone has different opinions on which chip is best etc, I am happy with mine, but if I was keeping the car then I would get a live map done as then it is setup to run on your car only which means it will be setup 100% spot on.

I am guessing that live mapping costs a great deal more than a normal chip?

from the info I have got hold of, mapping costs between Ł350 and Ł600 depending on who does it.

an off the shelf chip is usually Ł100 upwards iirc

I think I am gonna see if PJ Motorsport has all the bits i want tomorrow and try it with the chip I have already, see how quick it is and then decide if A need more horsepower or B stay with stage 3 and get it as good as i can
