Looking to get a lightweight racing jack
anyone got one?
either clarke, draper (£180 !!) or sealey RJA1250 etc.
i got a funny feeling i read somewhere here on pf, that someone was complaining that they struggle to lift the weight claimed on the side of the box ?

mines been spot on, had to tighten 1 bolt on the roller in the near 2 years I've had it, brilliant bit of kit for lowered cars, the max lift height isn't amazing but for the money its win win
hi i got a clarke one got on a vat free day cost about £80 had to take it back the caster wheel came off ,took it back and complained i did not get a replacement straight away they had to send to the repair workshops to be looked at got a msg two weeks later that i could have a new one got this one and i noticed all the nuts and bolts had come loose so i just loctited them with thread lock its been fine ever since it good for just lifting up for wheels or just the front .To tell you the truth if i could get my money back i would spend it on a much better one but i have a steel 3ton bluepoint that i have used for 14yrs and its still goin great so it doesnt get used much hope this helps ....Neil
got one last week from VAT free day at machine mart, only 1.25 tonne but does for tyre changes, quite a nice bit of kit really, doesnt lift very high though.
got a Seally 3 ton jobby for bigger jobs, just a bit big for mauling out to swap your tyres round etc. perfect in a workshop though.
