Sapphire Cosworth black
Just a query guys - recently bought my first cossy, '89 2wd in black. Have seen very few in black - was it an option or special order? Could black have been solid or metallic?
Any recommendations on sunroofs - I have tried to open it, but its very tight, and I dont want to break cable and it half open. If headlining is taken down can I get to mechanism? Thanks, John |
When I had my head lining out, I don't remember seeing the mechanism. It is kind of in a tray welded to the roof. I think, to remove the sunroof there are several small screws that you get to from the top once opened. These are normally rusty though so expect a bit of ball ache.
The black was Ebony Black, and I believe it is a gloss colour. Various rumours as to how many were made, with some people saying as low as 89 left in 2wd. I'm certain that Crystal Blue was the rarest colour in the 2wd from the factory. cheeRS |
Ebony Black is a metallic colour.
There is also Gloss Black too, which I think is fairly rare |
john i have had that prob before and i had a mate bang down on the sunroof with his fist around its primeter as i tried to turn the handle and it popped and worked no problem after that .
i seen that car you got for sale .looked a bargain  |
