Cutting out at 5000rpm?

Hi,

Got a weird fault with the cossie, when it revs to 5/5500 rpm the engine stutters, the revs drop and then it backfires a couple of times and stalls?

Changed cps,act,ect-the only clue is that from cold the revs are below 1000 but when its warm the revs are 1100.

Any help appreciated,cheers.

My guess a problem with the dizzy.
If you have the change connect a led- or star-tester and read out the fault codes right after the problem occurs. If you see a code 13 then replace your dizzy.

Have you done the phase sensor too mate?

Not overboosting by any chance is it?

Or running out of power to the fuel pump? That's where it needs power the most.

I'd be looking at lack of fuel, as a cause first, new filter may cure it, and a rewire!!
