Due to a recent operation I sold my Mk2 Fiesta so my RS Turbo engine is up for sale.

I want it to go together as an almost ready to build engine so will not be splitting unless it doesn't sell together.

I also have a genuine ford late type cvh oil pump brand new in box

I have priced this strongly at £300 but it took me months to find one and I had to get it from Germany in the end.

Nice engine waiting to be built there! :king:
I personally would sell the stud and nut kit separately as they are no use on a turbo charged CVH, many head gasket failures have been attributed to there inability to expand like normal stretch bolts do.

Ben26 15-09-2013 06:44 PM

1300 wow. That seems a bit to much imo.

I'm open to offers but it would cost over twice that amount to assemble these parts yourself/have the machinng etc done and its mostly new parts

rsmark86 16-09-2013 12:48 AM

sell it seperately, i stuggled to get £850 for a fully built engine of the same spec, with an oil pump complete with 3k miles from new and was mint and had arps, genuine ford gaskets and head bolts, baffled sump the lot

worth more in bits

its a sign of the times as i sold one simular with a fully worked head big valve head a few years ago and got £1500 back then

An unbuilt engine will be worth more than one that has been built and run or at least would be to me anyway I would much rather get it built myself than trust so somebody else's work.

I could include a baffled sump with this engine but the buyer would have to wait till it arrives as I haven't even received it back from the company doing it yet.

I will split if it doesn't sell but I have no idea about individual prices which is one reason I want it to go as a whole

lozi 17-09-2013 02:34 PM

Baffled and gated sump added

I agree the standard stretch bolts are the best choice for reasonable boost levels on a CVH (25 psi) They are designed as nearly fool proof.
The many head gasket failures with arp studs is not because of the studs inability to stretch. All fasteners stretch to achieve clamping force. Stretch bolts are stretched further (can't be re-used) which requires no re-torquing (after head gasket compresses over heat cycles). Failures occur when studs are not installed correctly and not re-torqued after a few heat cycles.

Versus_Creations 07-05-2015 06:34 PM

Kingabe 07-05-2015 06:55 PM

Is it for sale!? Jano, I spoke to you breifly at Central day with Ramin. You managed to sort that misfire out yet?? Basically my rs turbo has given up on me, rings I think. I'm looking for a decent standard engine or a recently rebuilt cvh or Zvh to stick in it. Know of anything around?

Versus_Creations 08-05-2015 07:35 AM

I cant offer parts for sale on here pal.
