My 2002 escort van heater blower was only working on highest setting but has now stopped working altogether. The fuse had blown so i replaced it and that one blew aswell. However i tried another fuse(same rating) and it hasnt blown but the heater blower still isnt working. Any suggestions?? how do i locate the heater resistor???

 

sounds like the heater resistor pack or fuse box

 

have been told that by a couple of different people but dont know where the resistor pack is. Any ideas?

 

top of blower motor, behind rubber trim, infront of wipers, under plastic scuttle pannel

A faulty resistor pack is whats causing it not to work on the other speeds!

However, the fact it's blowing the fuse means either the motor is partially siezed or you have a short, more likely the former!

Sometimes water can make it's way in to the motor which causes the problems.
