I have an annoying rattle coming from under my car.

I believe its just a heat shield?

I took it to a garage and they could reach it as it was too far up??

And said just live with it - it wont cause any trouble..

..but its giving me a head ache!

Is this a common fault and is there an easy fix?

If they couldn't reach an exhaust heat shield then they clearly couldn't be bothered - take it to another garage.

Is it a mk2 ST or a mk1 ST170? The heat shields used to rattle on my old st170, I just ripped them all off!

Yes that's what I did, jack it up and see which one is loose, then just take it off!

The garage must be fecking useless then!
