Anyone know if you can just buy the pulley with bearing inside as apposed to the complete tensioner for the serpentine belt on a 1999 focus 1.8 zetec. my mates bearing has failed and caused the plastic pulley to melt and fall off!

 

oops, must of been very noisy before it failed? im sure you could get the pulley and belt on its own from ford

 

Yea it was! The local garage told him it was his hydraulic lifters! Haven't tried ford yet avoiding genuine parts prices lol!

 

Right spoke to ford and they can only supply the complete tensioner for £136! Seems stupid as only the pulley is fooked!
