Ive been restoring my s2 for months now since it blew up
But apart from a new engine its had loads of other nice bits,chrome brakes etc.....

But the other day i jacked it up and its jacking point collapsed in.... ....and i just wana know wot does this mean??? the cars pretty solid ...can this be repaired?wots actually broke?and the all important question HOW MUCH?

Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

 

if one of your sills have collapsed, which is what it sounds like, or have you jacked it up on the chassis leg?

if the sills collasped u need to get the car checked out, cars always look solid until u take the underseal off of paint so u can see the steel.

cost wise im only guessing here if its isolated corrosion maybe Ł100-Ł150 based on local garage rates for welding. if its a new sill could be talking a bit more.

when was it mot tested last?

 

Thanks alot,im more concerned with knowing it can be fixed...It had its last MOT a year ago.

 

a cars made of steel, anything can be fixed im just a little concerned for your saftey if your driving it in that condition.

best bet is take it to a mot station and have it moted again, the tester will then advise you on other things which u may not be aware of.
