EFI performance question
Hi
I am looking at getting my series 2 converted to EFI. I have recently had a full engine rebuild stage 2 T3 turbo and newman cam. I am already aware there are alot of advantages to converting to EFI but was wondering will this improve the performance of the car by much.
Any help will be much appriciated
Chris

I have just converted to EFI, currently at my relatively low boost performance isn't dramatically better however it does give scope for future power hikes beyond the reaches of MFI.
However,
It starts every time
Power delivery is smooth and even
Fuelling is safe spot on all the time
LOTS OF TOYS (launch control etc)
Its much more economical
Generally every thing about the way the car drives is better.
Do it you won't regret it!

Rob,
I'm converting to megasquirt, looking forward to getting it running, I best get some money spent soon, could just do with moving most of my cossie management on to save dipping in my savings.

!! What are your cruising AFR's and spark advance please Antti? From the factory they only did around 30mpg so thats a 73% improvement

I only get around 35mpg at 14.7:1 AFR and 35-38deg of advance.
Im selling most of whats needed for,efi cossie management if someones interested for bit of a bargain price compared to how much it would cost to collect it all etc
AFR 14.5-15 and 42-45 spark angle
