Default conversion question

im going to be doing a turbo conversion on my 3i, and was wondering how different are the the looms as in could i rewire it myself or would it be easier to get a turbo loom, its a question thats bugged me for ages, ive built a whole rs turbo from a shell but the loom(fidlely bit) was already there, and is there anywhere i can buy the original ford plugs from

TBH I'd go for an RST loom and rewaire your car. It's pretty straightforward then, but obviously means dash + interior completely out to do it.

you only need the dash out and the rear passenger door card to feed the loom through to the rear lights
the door looms should just unplug and plug straight back into the rs loom to work your windows and central locking

you would need a probe that fires a current up it and a test light abd go through every wire

Keep the windy windows if you want just leave the plug unplugged for the leccy ones and pull the fuse out thats what ive done with my estate then if you fancy putting them in at a later date you just fit the gubbings and plug it back in.

mark.

also the electric windo looms and central locking looms and electric mirror looms are separate looms that plug into main loom so could be removed before hand or you may find they don't come with loom anyway
