Dont waste your time with the pace!
Go for a full front mount, will be worth the extra cash! I have an airtec on mine, does its job nicely.

Less air flow to the rad, the IC is in the way!

Maybe because there is a bloody great intercooler blocking the airflow to the radiator?!

hi
i use an airtec front mount with twin fans and it does the job well
on my act guage in london traffic it can hit 32/40 degrees with an outside temp of 20 degrees c and drops to 21 degree moving steaderly
and when booting about at 14psi under heavey driving around town stop start stop start will be around 28 degrees c and drops down to 17/20 degrees on motorway at 70 constant
when the airtec was fitted the coolant temps went up as i/c blocks airflow but i changed the fan switch to a lower operating temp one and now sits between r/m on temp and if i sit there it drops lower
i carried out the above on the hottest day this year so far 20 degrees c and will be doing more as the weather gets hotter but will only be testing the temps with the airtec and twin fans not switching back to standard ic to compare well i say that now thou

the intercooler is like a radiator its there to lower the temp, so the air passing over the intercooler takes the heat from the charged air which then gives you a higher air temp entering the coolant radiator so it cant take so much heat away. mine is ok but in heavy traffic on the M1 the temp did get to 110'c but i have a 98'c fan switch lol. it got setup resently the temp gauge hit 120'c
