Default engine prob..anyone help

broke down and determeined the metering unit had gone...replaced with a spare...but car was running rich and not ideling with the replacement on...
took to the garage to get the timing, fueling done ect.

picked up the car just now but it wont idle...timing is done and fuelling. The car starts ok but cuts out unless you keep your foot on the pedal.....garage doesnt know what the problem is.

any ideas??

This is on a Series 1 Rs Turbo

If it drives ok other than this problem then it sounds like the idle is low or lean, or you have an air leak.

just removed and tightened all my pipes but still does the same thing.

This happend to me and a hose for my rad was burst so i cut it and then put it bk on then it was fine

Well scouted around the car this morning ready to dismantle bits and found the fuel banjo that goes to the fuel filter was missing a copper o ring.........luckily i brought a spare set on ebay last year so thats done the job.
