course it can fail. if its factory fitted from standard then it has to be there. it has to illuminate to tell you wether its working or not. it cant pass without it because its factory fitted mate

If it's all been changed to "non" abs PROPERLY then it will pass regardless if it came out the factory with abs theres plenty of people on here that have removed there ABS and have had no problems passing an MOT.

technically the warning light should work as when they enter the car's details into the computer it comes up on the printed sheet telling the tester how to check the abs warning system!

Mines been out for around 6-7 years and has passed a legitimate MOT every year.

The only trace I have of ever having had it is the teeth on the driveshafts.

it doesnt have to be there to pass.if it is all taken out properly as said above there is nothing there to fail it on.like having fog lights on the front if they arent there doesnt fail if they are and bulb out it will, same idea.know loads who have had it removed and passes mot.may be wrong.if it bothering you that much repair it and you will be happy then.good look either way.

the rst is an old beast now, just remove it, and as long as the brakes and the hendbrake warnng lights works the car will pass.
my current car has no abs, it passed as the MOT tester said to me the test is so basic(light coming on at static etc) it would be hard to fail the car. if somone fails it mate there not following the guidelines for the year of your car but just following modern test standards that do not apply to a 17+ year old car
i may be talking sh!t its just wot i've been told
