Default Spark plug condition.

Hi !

I am preparing my RST S2 for the new season, and today i changed the plugs.

Would any of you comment on the condition (colour) of the old ones, as i am a little unsertain about it needing setting up.

The enginespec. is standart.

Thanks

running a bit hot, could be running lean or too much ignition advance
the right colour should be beige light brown.
run standard escort rs turbo plugs, theyre very good

Ok, i think i will check ignition advance first.

The new ones i put in are Motorcraft AGP 901C.

The picture in the Haynes which closely resembles your plugs says plug overheating, check ignition timing, fuel octane rating too low or fuel mixture too weak. The Motorcraft 901 should be perfect for the S2

It all depends as to how u were driving before you took them out. However, if the car is on std management, i would sugget that it is running a little lean, as they appear quite hot. What plug are they? Maybe a grade to hot. Is the car on std boost?
