Could I add my name please? Only bought my RST 2 weeks ago, but I'm thrilled with it. I don't know what it's running - the guy I got it off said !70 to 180, but I'd love to know. Certainly compared to my old sierra it feels very quick! Will the day include a set up or just a power run, as from the smell and the frightening damage it's doing to my wallet its running pretty rich!

Just so I know, its slammed on 17's with an additional splitter at the front for a cold air feed. will this be a problem to get it on the rollers?

M K 08-11-2006 05:14 PM

is it ok if the rst engine is in an xr2

i will be up for this especially if i can get the new t34 roller bering on there before hand :top:

but will still go on as everything is running sweet at the moment all be it abit laggy :?

what sort of difference do you think i will see christian in figures from my dyno results to your rolling road results??

i got on the dyno

300.3bhp
356lb/ft

:top:

Added. I can't see the height being a problem. I'm sure we will overcome it somehow!!

Yes, thats fine. The best way to sort the money will be by cheque. I will post details of that in the first post, once everything else is sorted. :top:

Yes, of course, as long as you are aware of the safety aspect. ;)

We have a PS2, although I don't think she is old enough to appreciate that yet is she??!!

matt p 14-11-2006 01:58 PM

Sounds good to me mate when/how would you like the money by mate?

Really sorry to read bout your car though hope you can get it
sorted would be a shame to break it ;)

Christian and Beccy 14-11-2006 02:23 PM

Yes, would be a shame. Would be nice, although a little optimistic I think, to get it sorted in time for this RR day.

As for the money, give me a little while and I will post details. Cheque payment to me would probably be favourite. :top:

No point rushing it for the RR day, would be much better to take the time it deserves and have a totally satisfying job done :)

sas 16-11-2006 04:32 PM

Hi Christian, I would love to come howerver I have limped up to Scotland where I now live.
The damage from the other week is - Chunk out of the bore when the piston let go on the dyno, so have to rebore 2.1. (smoke on idle)
The head is cracked and squirting water in the combustion chamber (sputters on low revs)
Never managed to to lean the mixture back out so suffered 13mpg all the way back to Scotland (500 miles).
S.

Christian and Beccy 16-11-2006 09:48 PM

Simon, thats shit news. Would have been really good to see yours on our dyno. Should be a great day too.

Oh well, perhaps you can make the next one I plan to hold next year. ;)

sas 16-11-2006 10:05 PM

I would very much like to join in next year.
So I will get it rebuilt again! shoud only take a few weeks, and look out for the date of your session.
S.
