Robski 24-02-2005 12:44 PM

If you get good quality twin headlamps ie genuine morrettes yes there is no disputing they are an improvement.I have standards which i also like, because more and more esc cossies are getting twins it's kind of different now to have standard!! :D .........also you can get standard light units cheaply and easy should a stone hit! End of the day the choice is one you have to make yourself ;)
Is there anyone else that actually prefers standards? Another point is, if you have standard wheels but twins it doesn't look as nice.Twins and big alloys look  .

Because men that are celebrating their b-day soon are a real pain in the b*tt.
Always asking questions :wall:
And buying a new turbo two weeks before his b-day wasn't part of the plan either

Speedy G. 26-02-2005 09:09 PM

I'm not.

I know what you mean. Look at my bloody Cossie.
Piece of shit. :wall:

steviep 26-02-2005 09:24 PM

Dan 27-02-2005 12:36 AM

Do love morrette's but their getting abit common, change back to standard jsut to be different!

You've only got to look at someone like Gareth Lloyd's car and see that standard lights look just as good if not better in some cases!

Speedy G. 27-02-2005 08:21 AM

Doesn't it look nice with standard headlights.
At least, it would if the bugger was running. :bat:

That'd be the beauty of white  Those are droplets of dirt!! The car was minging at the time. :DD:

I actually prefer the standard headlights, with standard wheels. In my eyes the standard bodywork, including headlights wheels etc. looks dead right. The nice thing is when people say why do you modify your car like that with a body kit, (obviously not knowing what a Cossie is), I turn round and say that the car is completely standard, apart from the engine and brakes. You should see the disbelief on their faces. Every last penny goes on the engine, extracting the good old BHP. ;)

I had a neighbour say that i'd done a good job on the car.................he didn't realise it came out of the showroom like it was!!..........also was shocked to hear that you have to pay 10K + for 'an old banger'

Glenn5 27-02-2005 02:12 PM

I prefer standard 1s too all the morrettes ive seen have either misty or corroded lenses once theve done sum mileage std all the way

my car's now just been painted and i went for a set of new standard ones They look good to me as i never had standard lights to start with it make's a nice change

maxest 21-09-2005 08:19 AM

Standard!!! There's more out there with morettes than standard! ;)

Glenn5 21-09-2005 08:24 AM

deffo std ive just ordered a brand new pair hope to have them this week :D

Richie Russ 21-09-2005 09:37 AM

I dont really mind either standard or Morettes, to me the Morettes give the car more of an aggresive look, standard lights look a bit too tame for me, buy the Morettes and you can change them as and when you like :top:

Stoo 21-09-2005 10:22 AM

Depends what it came with...

If it came with standard lights, they would stay.If it came with moretts, they would stay :DD:

If you know what i mean?

Dave Henshall 22-09-2005 04:38 PM

IMO saphs and 3 doors should retain the std lights, escos should have come from teh factory with morrettes

SHITBOX 22-09-2005 05:22 PM

Morrettes , kept the standard ones tho in case i change my mind
