JHS: thats a hell of a spot....eyes like a shit house rat there mate!!!!

Hope you are lucky with this car! my advice is check, double check and then check everything again before you decide and be 100% sure, you will sense whether its right or not. ;)

Yes the ones without recaro logo are the motorsport ones, the ones with the logo are the lux seats with bigger bolsters as in my sig below.

I'm going to view this tomorrow only 9 miles away from me. To be perfectly honest i spoke to him today and he sounded a bit sheepish and sort of holding back a bit if you know what i mean. He also said he had th receipts for the rebuild but throw them out so he's getting some more off his mate       . I'm expecting a shed and will lwt you all know the outcome tomorrow either way :top:

you never know it might be ok :?

For 8k its hardly going to be nice is it, the blokes had it for 7 years and its been sat under a cover on his drive for the past 5 years apparently. The car itself might be alright but the history etc might be shit ie built from a 909 shell etc. We will see anyway

E-cat usually says rubbish about Escoses e.g. mine does not even exist according to e-cat

Just like my brothers, look this up in the search function for this site -
MY BROTHERS 909 MOTORSPORT ESCORT!!
Check incase there is evidence of a roll cage being fitted cos there wernt many people who bought them only for road use. They were cheaper to buy from factory so resale should be cheaper but they are very rare cos most were or still are campaigned in motorsport. Seats dont have recaro written on them, blanks for electric windows, light washer jets Etc. Look for seam welding in boot area and boreham build plate with 909 amongst the numbers.
Hope this helps a little, im no expert but my bro owns one :king:

I think it will be pretty obviouse if it was a rally car converted to road use tbh, the youth is coming with so if i miss anything he should pick up on it :top:

Well i went to view it today, its OK not a minter but far from a pile of shit. Its had a full respray which is decent but could be better the engines sweet and the interior is in good condition. The bloke took a deposit on it this morning though :?
