For those who have owned and sold S2 rs turbo's, what was the reason for sale?

Cosworth!


Miss my old S2 very nice car and didnt have a bit of bother with it.

 

Bought a cosworth,and had grown out of the s2.

 

was out of work so did a deal for a 2.0 laguna and money then flogged the laguna as my s2 had quarter damage and couldn't afford to get it done. wish i still had it now.

 

had a saph, swapped it for an s2, bought a 3 door

 

I had to face the fact, they are a bloody horrible car to drive.
I loved owning it, polishing it and parking it. It was the driving it at speeds over 30mph and parking.
I love the look of them and do miss not having one but they are so un-refined and I feel are showing there age, not neccessarily in looks, but the ride/drive.

 

Wanted a cosworth and it was taking space in my garage

 

bought an escort cossy.

 

brought a cossy, would love another one though

 

S2 seemed tame after owning a Mk3 / S1.

I sold mine due to the shite rollbar, handling, ABS etc.

was a wicked car, never had much bother with it!

 

bought a saff cosworth

 

yea it was a pain in the arse

 

my S2 was THE MOST reliable car i have ever owned and driven.....

sold it and bought a 3 door..... never looked forward since!!

 

First one - Cos I melted my 234bhp engine and lost faith....
2nd one - Got made un-employed
3rd one - Made a massive profit
4th one - Rotten shell, broken for parts
5th one - Wanted a cossie
6th one - Wasn't great
7th one - Never drove it
8th one - Broken due to rot
9th one - Gave up on the whole S2 RST thing.

a true S2 enthusiast!!! right to the bitter end!!

 

i took the engine out of it after 3 weeks of owning it





but thats cause i snaped the shell hitting a speed bump at 90ish on a long road that i always used showing a mate how quick my rst was,,,,,,,,,, they started fitted speed bumps that fucking week and was just over halfway down with no signs on the road or the speed bumps

but the engine in me cabrio, got banned , then build a new car and a mate offered me 4500 for me engine and bits so i sold out and bought a cossie

 

got it standard ..
did shit loads to it ..
spent way too much money on it getting it to handle stop and go
got it running 240 ish bhp with no hassles ..

sold it as i disliked wheelspin ...

specifically when i was trying to overtake things when the road had the slightest sniff of water anywhere near it
was nice to upset cossie owners too as you sat up behind up round donnington

oh how i want it back it was such a fun car

still think it would push my cossie along tho....

 

First one was on its way to be a weapon- had a small accident with it and it got broke for bits and Tim now has it as the shell was MINTER than MINT
Second one was funnily enough Tims old car- lost my temper with it after having the engine rebuilt and then the gearbox failing... so sold it and it got broke...

Since then I have tried, Golf Vr6- Saph Cos and a Tomcat LOL (well my dads)

Third one yet to be purchased...

Took mine off the road when i got me cossy. still got the poor girl cant bring my self to sell her cos she owes me a mint and had some awsome times

 

Baby came along and couldnt afford baby and two cars, no way the missus was drivin it.

you got to love the S2!!!! Takes skill to keep it going round a corner, bank loan for repairs every 3 month, yet can still scare the cossy and scooby owners.

 

Lost my job - gutted to sell it

 

all mine were great at handlin..... but had to go in search of Coswoth power.......

 

End? Just wait for RST No. 10 to come along

i was going to sell mine for a 200sx, but i had a change of heart...

 

To buy my 1`st saff...
