As title ,

Im wiring in a new Diesel heater plug relay into a friends car , i have robbed the relay out of a old sierra and have the following colours

Thick red ( presume permenent live from battery )
Thick red with yellow trace ( presume 12v out to plugs)
Brown obvoiusly earth
Black medium gauge where does this go ?
thin gauge brown with yellow trace, ??? Ignition switch or dash lite ?
Thin gauge black with green trace.?????Ignition switch or dash lite?

as you can see there are 6 wires , these i presume go to the following

12V perm live
12V to plugs
earth
Ignition switch
Dash board light

But whare does the 6th one go ???????

i think its the black one thats left as when its been cut off the donor car loom it has about 6 other black wires comming from it , as if its to supply a live to various other compunents ???

could it be the earth for the relay?
or possibly for the dash light?

if you can tell me what relay it was in the sierra then
i can possibly/probably tell you what the wires
originally did

 

Its not a earth , theirs a brown wire there already , brown being earth on all fords .

relay came off a J reg 1.8 diesel saph

part noon the relay is

90 BB 6M092
89 90 22

12V 70A

is that any help ???
