not sure on price for shell as I don't\haven't had dealings with 3 Doors
prices depend on condition of course

motor £1200-1600
gearbox £250-350
interior £200-400
its all the little bits that add up at the end of the day
Spadge is the man to speak to about 3 Doors

This is the equation .
To make a SMALL fortune out of breaking up a cosworth , start with a LARGE one !

It's all the little shiny parts that go for £50-£100 odd that make the money mate!

Yes mate, definitely! Especially considering the engine was a bit fubar!

It's a lot of work though, tkaes a huge amount of time and organisation packaging all the parts, chasing payment and senign them off etc. It was harder for me as my car was 150 miles away from me when I was breaking it!

ive always wondered this, i know with s2 ill easily strip it for a resonable sum and wont be left with many bits (only coz they are all new ) where as if i sold it i would probably struggle to get 4grand and i would be pretty gutted at that ild rather let it rot or just track it to death and then break it

I have only broken 2 x 3 doors mate!
Neither were anywhere near standard being my white one and Steve 3dr als's!!
Both of the above had loads of uprated bits of good value as well as the stuff that only 3 doors have! All the parts that are common to all Sierra Cosworths obviously don't get as much so a lot depends on the standard of the car you are starting with!
Mine for instance would break for circa 15k if i wanted to go that route

You can at least double that figure for a tidy shell with log book but not if its on Vcar or a Q plater!

Jim
Genuine bodykits for 3 door cossies are not easy to get i have sold one for 500 quid But most of the time they go for 300 ish to people overseas!
As for the dash's a genuine 3 door one with the grill on top that isn't split is an easy 300 or 400 quid!
Bonnets with vents go for between 100 and 200
Rear bumpers 50 quid upwards depending on how good it is and if someone is looking for one at the time!

PMSL jim i always see you posting about high cossie parts prices and what you think they are worth ....maybe you should ask yourself if that is the reason you dont own many cossie bits....cos your valuations are wrong!?

The early Sierra dash has a grill on the top, and these dashboards nearly all crack quite badly with the expansion/contraction in the sun. I suppose that it was because of this that these were discontinued at (or maybe even before?) the first facelift and replaced by the ones with the plain top.

I'm not sure if the 3 door and XR4i and XR4x4 dashes are the same shade of grey, but I sold a 4i dash in mint condition for only £50 - I think I must go out and kick myself!
