Who's had their Escos on a rolling road
Our local group has a Power Engineering Rolling Road day soon and I am very interested in going, my question is will I have to start dismantling my front bumper to get it on the rollers?, it has Konis and Eibach springs with 19" alloys-who has a similair set up thats been on the rollers.
Also is there anything I shoud worry about before ot goes on the rollers, I was going to have a service first with new plugs-is this a good idea-I do not want it to go bang

you should be ok with those wheels as for engine going bang id do the service and cheak all fuilds etc make sure tyer pressures are correct and that your trackings ok just cheak everything????and you should be ok unless your engine is on its last legs for what ever reson??hope it gose ok!!

Thats not the P.E. dyno though
this is the P.E. dyno

the wheels are not in the dyno in this pic, but my escos on koni's & 18's fits fine, any worries give us a call at Powers on 01895 255699.

Had mine on the rollers a few weeks ago, its lowered on coilovers and 19's went on with no problems. Just make sure you check all your levels and tyre pressures, also worth checking the tracking/alignment i got a weird transmission loss first time i had it on found to be the alignment. Makes things intresting when the operator back off from 100+ and it starts to move on the rollers.

(going off what g force do) usually gently wind it up in each gear into 4th (4th is usually 1:1 ratio and they can cal the transmission losses best that way and the torque, then hoof it in 4th from fairly low down and see how it comes on boost (fuelling and boost are monitored - if either go towards dangerous they stop the run) and continue until its near the to of the revs - so no different than a good 4th gear motorway overtake manouvoure - pulling 110ish (allegedly occifer
the whole run (once strapped down) takes about 1 minute - the operator should check all the tyre pressures are coreect and equal before the run - it up to you to make sure oil/water levels etc are 100% before hand.

true - worst mistake i made sellingthat...
the turbo was swpped under warranty for a TME one, more torque lower down but runs out of puff at the top... i prefer teh big bags of the GSR turbo tbh
