Its all pretty cheap out there really as its tax free ,which resort are you heading to ,went to pas de le casa last year make sure you do the snowmobiles there ,out of all the ones i have been on in various resorts ,these was the most extensive trip on them ,lots of bars and clubs ,had a lot of snow last year and the pass was closed so had a 9 hour transfer from the airport .
Good resort, you could easily pay for your trip by getting orders in for car stereo equipment and electrical goods and bringing them back its well cheap.
Snowboarding tips....
Knees bent at all times back leg slightly straighter than the front but still bent...imagine this as your suspension. Stand up straight an you will fall.
Weight should be predominantly on your leading foot which will cause preassure on the edge towards the front of your board. This is how turns are initiated.
Hips should be twisted and in line with your shoulders faceing the fall line(down hill) with your arms held over each side of the board (ballance).
When turning the idea is that the edge of the board is preassurised which will initiate the turn......continue to lean forward.(lean back and you will fall)
This part is key.....
You have turned say to the right(TOESIDE) your weight is on your leading foot your preasurising the ball of your foot, in this example we will assume its your left foot (Im assuming your regular rather than goofy).
Your weight is forward your knees are bent.......
Time to turn (HEELSIDE)
You cant turn without nutralising your weight.......
Simply raise preasure off your edge by bending your knees less(this releases preassure to the edge) the board will come off its edge.....remain leaning forward, knees bent, allow the board to run without being on an edge & on the flat of the board....now again apply more preassure to your knees but this time to your heel of your leading foot....keep the knees bent, your now into a heelside turn.
Next lesson backsided 720's
Have fun, Pas is great for learning loads of chairlifts so no need to wory about falling off tow's etc etc.

Just reverse everything if your goofy....well except leaning forward
the same principle's apply whether regular or goofy
Mountain boarding
Your hardcore
! snow will be a piece of cake for you
You shouldnt have any issues with speed(FEAR) which tends to be the biggest issue for beginers , id have thought that your used to having the board pointing downhill most of the time so you may find that you progress very quickly.
Im unsure where your arms would be when mountain boarding, as long as they are eitherside of your snowboard when boarding, you should find the transition easy enough.
By tows I was refering to an upside down T-bar that drags you up the mountain rather than chairlifts.
