Over the last couple of weeks on my s2 the lights have been messing about . When i put dipped beam on nothing happens only side lights come on. But the other day i checked the light relay and on one of the blades wat looked like melted plastic i scraped it of and worked ok but whent to go out tonight but no lights,so i tried the relays from my other rs and still no joy . Please could someone give me some advice on what to check next please help thanks people. Fogot to mention i do have full beam

 

very common problem. Poor contact between the headlight relay pins and their socket connection.

This tends to cause them to burn out too.

Get a new set of relays if yours are already burnt and ensure when u fit them they are making good contact with the socket (a little bodge / trick) is to bend the pins on the relay slightly so they press up against the side of the sockets better.
