ive just picked up a mk1 capri under a 'Q' plate as it was an import from germany a few years back.

how will this affect the taxing on this car? basically i cant prove the date of production so cant prove its tax exempt. do 'Q' plates take any of this into consideration? any ideas how i could get hold of paperwork to prove date of manucfacture etc. cheers.

 

should b able 2 work out build date from the vin plate

if its a q reg there wont be a vin plate as they only put them on a q when they cant prove date of manuf etc this is my understanding
