My uncle is about to buy a 1999 Ford Focus 1.8ltr, there's only 40,000 miles on the clock and it was owned by an old lady. It's in great condition and the engine and 'box are sound.

Do you think £3,000 is a good price for this car?

Also, what oil would you recommend using?

is it a zetec, ghia, lx ?, 3 or 5 dr ?

 

all depends what model it is

 

miles seem good & will most prob be look after with a lady owner

 

I just sold my 1.8 LX for £3350 with 66K on th clock so yes £3K is good for 40K miles.As for the oli 5w30 is what ford recommend from what I remember.
