Default Focus ST170 using brake fluid

Mate has a 52 plate Focus ST170 and it's using an alarming amount of brake fluid. Had a rummage under the car just now and aprt from a bit of goo on th ebrake pipe I can't see anything too untoward.

Idea's or common problems?

lol, i reckon he should get it checked out asap. clutch slave cylinder is probably whats leaking though. this is in the gearbox on the ST170 iirc soo check for fluid leaking out the bottom of the box.

Yeah i would have suggested the clutch master cylinder. Not hear of any problems with them, but if the fluid isnt being lost from the brakes then could be the clutch cylinder
