Private Reg plate
just bought the wife a persanalised plate . Got the v750 form today ,having a hard time making sence of the form and what to do next and what happens if you take it to the dvla in person is it done there and then cheers mick

It used to be done there and then at the DVLA but not anymore
Basically you need to fill out the form and include your log book and MOT......NOT THE TX DISC YET.
They will ask for the tax once it has all been sorted

I think it is a new thing....as like you say i transfered a plate straight away about a year ago.
Went to do it on my new car and they said you cant do it there and then anymore.......Pain in the arse
But tbh, it took about 4 days from sending the paper work off....to getting it back all ready to stick on the car
