Default Cossie Lumpy On Idle ????????? Advice Please !

just went to see a cossie today and it was a bit lumpy on idle , it was going up and down but it wouldnt cut out it sounded really nice and was not tapping. its stage 2 light greens chip -31 scorpion exh etc 300bhp no dumpvalve only the standard one.

now the bloke said this was ok its just because of the light greens if i was to fit dark greens on, it would idle better, is this TRUE
just need a bit of advice peeps !

it was a 4x4 sapphire cosworth.

any advice appreciated

Sounds exactly like what mine is doing. Probably just need the iscv sorting out like rapidcossie said. Mine is fine through the rev range just idles like a pig. And I'm a lazy twat and can't be arsed to sort it in the freezing cold

like already wot's been said iscv its only 2 screws take it off and give it a good clean with carb cleaner. happened to my cossie done that and it was sweet after. not sure if thats right about the bloke saying its coz its on light greens if their at their limit wouldnt make no difference on idle but when your booting it if u do buy it i'd change it to dark greens

un plug the iscv and use the adjustment screw under your intake pipe to set the revs about 1k. plug the iscv back in and all will be much better.

alot healthier sounding on idle

Indeed When we bought our 2wd, it was rough on part throttle, apparently because the ecu couldn't accurately control the dark greens on part throttle Turned out to be a faulty TPS
The things people say
