Yep Tiff is sort of right lol.

Im not fully set up yet, have most of the bits, just need a decent hoover and a water tank.
Plus Im in the middle of restoring my van for the job.
I do m8s cars at the mo as they come to my house.

But defo will be giving it ago, weekends at first just to see how it goes then full time if theres alot of interest.

Its one job I enjoy doing tbh.
Theres not anyone that does it in my area mobile or at a unit, so hopefully will take off

All I can say is m8, give it ago
Dont forget to sort out insurance aswell incase of any mishaps.
Can be hard work aswell, more to it than just a wash and polish if you want good results.
For example I done Porkie's 3dr and I was on that all day but the end result was stunning if i do say so myself

Theres is a few others on here who do it/have done it so maybe they will give you more advice aswell

cheers
Benn

If the pitch is right, yes, busy main road etc.

As it's a going concern, I don't know the ins and outs of the one you're looking at, but you ideally want a bread & butter car/hand wash to pay the bills, and use the full valeting money to stick in your pocket.

Good money to be earned, but personally, I'd like to see a drive-in-drive-out carwash as well as a proper valeters.

if you do it right, you'll never be short of work. Approach local car dealers, and offer them a decent deal. Even if they have their own valeter, sometimes shit happens, and they need someone *quick*; speaking from experience.

If you put the effort in, like everything, it's very do-able. Good Luck

(from a sports & performance car trader/valeter/everything else that goes with it!)

I've said this before when someone else asked about it

A good mate of mine has run valeting business now for the last 8 years and if he didnt do other things like Window Tinting he wouldnt be in business now (www.rpbvaleting.co.uk)

It is not a good business to be in at the moment.

You have the Kosovan-Car-Washes springing up all over the place now where for from Ł5 you get a team of guys on your car for about 10 minutes and the car looks lovely. My mate even got them to do his car one day so he could see what they did and he was well impressed and hes the professional valeter.

He said, he cant compete with that and there are two or three in the town

The motor trade is on its arse again so car sales arent moving, so as a result the trade arent putting cars in regularly to be valeted.

If you are going to go ahead with it then make sure when you are making money in the summer you put some away to last through the quiet times.
