Bailey Header Tank
Just bought a bailey header tank. At the moment, I have a standard header tank with a braided hose going from the top of the tank to the top of the swirl pot.
Can I just use any hose between the swirl pot and header tank, like a normal vacuum hose or does it have to be a samco water hose or similar?? Is this just some sort of over flow??
Im not quite sure how swirl pots actually work and what they do??
Thanks in advance.

They circulate the water , swirling it round to create air bubles, these rise and exit from the small 8mm pipe and into the headertank, allowing for 'denser' water, and higher pressure, which in turn is cooler.
Small ammounts of hot water will be forced up the hose, so any 150degrees centigrade pipe will be fine

When i first fitted mine i just used a standard bit of pipe which i found in the garage... that was untill it got and poped of leaving me stranded. Best get a samco job or some other hight temp hose mate. cheers
Ive just noticed that the connection on top of the swirl pot is different to the outlet on top of the header tank. Anyone know what hose or connection i need to fit it please???
