Default bigger speakers in a saff

Has anyone fitted bigger Front speakers into a Saff?

What will fitt witout to much cutting?

The front speakers in mine are knackerd and thought i might upgrade them at the same time.

I have got bigger speak mate! but had to cut and make custome pods, well i have now fitted my front speakers in my doors! Im not 100% happy with the fit at the moment but over the winter going toget them fitted mint

here you go mate not the best of pics but you get the idea! i want the speaker blended into the door card over the winter!!

You can see my cross over in the foot well too!

Rhys what size,make is the mid driver ? looks ok to me would be happy with that.

Also is that speaker mounted straight to the door or is it mounted on a pod??

didnt cut door card at all just removed std grill and made 4 holes

Erm cant remember the size mate sorry! will ask my bro when hes online as he will know! lol Its phoneix gold Mid and i gotta say its awsome sounding mate!!! well impressed!

The mount is home made one!

oh yeah forgot to say only cut hole as it was to big an the magnet goes back a lot! lol VERY good speakers though honestly havent heard better for the ŁŁŁ

looks sweet had Infinity's in my erst loved them.

I have 5"25 speakers in the door behind the standard trim. They are Dynaudio.

All I did was to shorten the lugs at the back of the grille to stop them fouling the speaker and put a small spacer ring around the speaker to angle it upwards and pull the magnet away from the window (still a very tight fit).

Tweeters are currently attached to a bracket which is attached to the kick panels, will blend those in one of these days...

Anyway, the doors look completely standard and it sounds the proverbials, just wish I had sound deadened the doors, but that's .5s to 100 lost
