ok stu the default gap I could be wrong on it says on the packet ultra fine 0.4mm iridium ITV22#4. So I just gapped em to 1.0mm and it runs fine but the actual plug is a fraction shorter aswell ?

i hate cars

But I thank you for taking the time to help

0.4mm is the diameter of the Iridium tip in the center Kev, nowt to do with the gap., Hope you havent knackered em by levering on that tip....

bttt for stu so if ive been careful not to touch the tip I will be ok do they usually come gapped then and just fit straight in then ??

****edited to add gonna ask simon for another set as im to scared to run em now there modified as other owners havent had to gap em and im too scared they will break now

i feelered them out the box and the gap was way smaller than 0.9 or 1.0mm i mean it was probably half that I should of measured the exact amount but when 90 or 1mm wasnt near i just thought oh well fit em must be different then when it ran ruff and stank so bad I removed em and posted this post I dont understand it never ever had a prob with buying spark plugs before my honda had denso's and they were fine etc

i will await simons reply
