Default STEALIN AN RST!!

i Havent had my RST long and it isnt insured which means its just sitting on my drive....anyhow the thought never greatly occured to me that it might attract too much attention!! i thought 2 be fair its an old car its got a reputation but most people have forgot about them now, theyve had theyre day kinda thing! its been on my drive literally 3 nights now and earlier today i come back to my house to find a transit van blockin my drive n these 2 geezers eyein it up who consiquently made a sharp exit! im really worried its guna get nicked now cuz my m8 got jacked by gun point from his scooby a few nights ago just up the road n the thieves did a job in his car and dumped it! seems to be happening alot around by me in birmingham.

anyone got any ideas of how to make it immobile?? i can obviously take all the ht leads off n remove the battery n that but.......still i dont want it all bashed up if sum1 trys to steal it!

or am i just being paranoid and sum geezers were just admiring it cuz its a nice tidy shiny minter???

Subarus and Evos are targeted because they have 4 doors its highly unlikely that theives would risk nicking an RST to pull off any kind of robbery.

I know what you mean about hearing all these stories and it being alarming when something slightly suspicious happens, rest easy dude

Some insurance companies do a lay up policy so it's insured just not to be on the road

you can get big obvious cameras for about 20 quid or so, think argos sells fake ones too with red lights. speaking of which do you have an alarm with a bright red LED? if not, get a 12v LED from accesorry shop and plug it in to battery and tuck it behind steering wheel or sumat for now.

i have mine insured under a laid up policy, it costs just £100.00 a year but there are limitations to it, so mines locked in a wagon back in my work compound, covered by 24 hour cctv and 2 big fookin alsations

oh i should add,

they tried to have it,they must have looked through the bonnet slats and seen the horn,so they cut through the inner arch liner ,thinking this gave access to the engine bay, fuckwits, didnt get my car ,but fooked my liner nonetheless, wankshafters.

and nobody heard my alarm either,(i was at band practice)my car was covered up too.

a scaff style pole fitted thru the front wheels with some sort of locking device at either end would stop it from being towed off too, may take a bit of making up tho, or just wiggle the car about so that it woudl take a age to get it straight in the drive

fit steelies and slash the tyres so it wont like being moved

run mains to the shell to give anybody who touches it a shock

big fook off chain and lock around a rear wishbone to a sturdy gate post

many options to chose

get a good anti hijack alarm , im getting a blackjax one.......

heres how it works......

After the vehicle is at a safe distance BlackJax will activate the siren and brake lights to draw attention to the vehicle. when BlackJax sees the vehicle slow down or stop, the UltraSecure Immobiliser circuit shuts off the engine, stranding the thief and vehicle. At this time your transmitter will not operate the system, only you can turn off the blackJax by entering your secret PIN through the Plainview 2 Valet switch.

Get a disklok and turn the wheels towards the house, or a wall so it can't be dragged easily.

U could go extreme and get a metal pillar cemented into your drive so when it is parked up, you put the pillar in place so the car cant be moved because the pillar is in the way. They would have to move that first. Unfortunately there's not alot you can do if youve pissed them off becuase they cant get it, they could just smash your windows and scratch your car. Sucks I know.

Alternatively you could just get some invisible magic dust and cover the car with it so they cant see it! lol
