ive thought about converting to efi, and id like to do that but ive looked into Oddkidds kit and im not to keen on parting with £2000 right now, as i dont have that sort of money to spare.

Would it be cheaper to buy the efi kit on its own bit by bit, i dont really know what it takes to convert the car, so if you got time could u make a list.

I agree mate, the meter units are a pain in the arse, im on my third one.
And i think its days are numbered. U can get the origional bosch units from ford but the bottom bit alone is over £800 and that does not include the top bit which all the red injection pipes fix to. I think the futre is omex or any other aftermarket engine managment. Sounds alot of money to lay out but buy the time u have finished buggering about with the the old bosch toss its well worth while. Plus u have Efi managment which has more scope for tuning.

First have a look at your block some cvh turbo blocks have the hole already factory drilled for the crank position sensor if your lucky and it has this hole, u can use a fiesta Efi managment , u will need a conversion plate for the EFI manifold to fit the k-jectronic head. I think odd kid sells these plates and im pretty sure ive seen info on this conversion on his site. Was going to use this set up myself but my block is to old to have a cps hole. need to sort a cps sensor out.

WoW thats well cheaper than the omex set up i was looking at. The bits alone were about 1300 quid.

Your cheapest and easiest option I reckon is to go to ofab/ofac FRST management.

http://www.escortrsturbo.co.uk/forum...p?showforum=59

or go for megasquirt
http://www.escortrsturbo.co.uk/forum...howtopic=10711

or go cossie management
http://www.escortrsturbo.co.uk/forum...p?showforum=57

People are going to have different views on the above options, but they are all good viable options.

No probs dude. I know of people that have converted to the megasquirt system for less then £500 (thats an all in price - inc. vat.), and its a good system, fully mapable etc, take a read of my topic on there and make your mind up. Thats what im gonna go with anyway.

This topic should help you if you decide to go that route:
http://www.escortrsturbo.co.uk/forum...&hl=megasquirt

I am going to write a step-by-step installation guide, but just havent got off my arse to do it yet, but the above topic should more than help you out.

Also, this may be of help to you:
http://www.fiestaturbo.com/forums/vi...c.php?t=122386 / http://www.mtechautomotive.co.uk/

Hope that helps, and doesnt totally baffle you! lol
