ive owned esc cossies for over 10 yrs now and it got me thinking will you ever sell yours and move onto something else? if so, what? or do you plan on keeping it ,i dont think i could justify selling mine after all the work and cash thats gone into it
still fancy a speed 6 though

I love my car so much but I know its a complete waste of money
I did about 1000 miles in it last year, that was either going to shows or getting it serviced, I have a mk3 Golf GTI I use for work and hate the fact that this is what I drive every day. Thing is I couldn't use my Escos even if I wanted to as I work in a place where people would bash their doors into it etc and I would cry
I really want a nicer car to use every day and then I wont worry about all the money being sat in the garage-however the one BIG plus point is when it does come out I love it even more-so I dont think I will ever sell it

I too have owned cossies for quite a few years. Begining of last year sold my Escort as i fancied something newer
, so i bought an EVO8
. Only had this 11 weeks as i hated it, and struggled to sell it
. Had to sell it to a trader at a loss of over 2k and bought an 04 plate focus RS
. Knew i would not have much trouble selling this, so i could get another Escort

I was considering selling mine because I was getting fed up of not using it as much as I could and after 3 years of ownership and over Ł40k in to her I wanted rid...........BUT I just cant bring myself to sell her so I've just bought myself an SMG E46 M3 convertible.
Cossie is mothballed till my enthusiam returns.

had cosworths for about 8 or 9 years on and off and seem to always want one if i have gone without. This is my first escort and with all the time/work we all put into our car's i wouldn't want to get another and start again so i want to keep this one. If it does go though it will be the last cossie i have
I think there might be quite a few people who want to go down the evo route because after selling the escort cos you have most/all of the money to go and get a 04 evo 8 (new car) but im sure they have there + & - points

I have owned mine for 2.5 years now. I have driven it once and you still could not pry it from me. Takes a while to modify a cosworth in Australia as everything has to be custom made. Will be worth the wait though.
I will "NEVER" sell mine.

had mine coming up for for 3 years now, was this "-" close to selling it the other day - but my original plan was always to keep it as a hobby - when funds run dry - garage it and wait - it isnt loosing any value and i do like driving it (it has a good feel - feels safe) just that wehn every time you get in it and something else stops working
its like a fookin TVR, it does push you to the limit

dont think i would sell mine, theres no other car on the roads that would get you more attention and stares, you know what i mean, like when you drive past people and you look in the rear view mirror and you see folk pointing and talking.
I would sell it if anybody wanted to buy it for sensible money :-( Pretty worthless over here.
Still as I cannot sell it I keep pumping money into it and beeing poor myself
One day the Cossie kills me or I kill the Cossie... :-/
For now I'm jaleus of people with brand new STI's and Evo's but if I had loads of money I would have one in my garage... but in couple of yers shortage of parts will keep them off-road anyway :-/

dont get me wrong at high speed - you do need your wits abuot you as the there is a quite a bit of body roll and weight shift ..........and lag..... but around town and normal driving its better than a lot i reckon.

but if yu are aware of the oversteer and take that into account and have the nerve to hold it on boost when it does it, it does come nicely back in when the diffs lock up
Not so easy in the wet or when road is bumpy (it's always bumpy over here). But yes it can be controlled, I just wanted to say it's nowhere near easy of safe handlinga nd that is most of it's fun. True, demanding, rally-bred driver's car

Well... in normal trafic anything including smar car is good enough for me. I just don't care anymore I think. Although scos is nice, especially now in snowy conditions I'm having lots of fun when it not so tight trffic. My University mate nearly shitted himself today when I gave him a lift

come on Steve, if you only do 1000 miles a year then its hardly going to break is it and it won't cost much to run either.
