Default trouble with me orion can u help!!!!!!!!!!

right got no idear what it can be car starts on the button. but every now and then the car will just die and cut out like it lost it spark. and car will not start for 5 mins then it will fire back up on the button. i know it some thing to do with the starting side of things but ant got a clue what it is. i have change the dizzy twice leads and plug r new and coil and earths r fine i have just run out of idears on what it can be can any one help

dont know jim i been told it mite be metering until but i dont know i going to test the loom later today

check the wires on the ignition switch the plug behind s/wheel cover plastic bits mine used to get hot(used to smell burning plastic sometimes) and car would stall, I cut the plastic connector off and soldered the wires directly together NO probs since.

all ready done that and fuel pump is fine been out in it today and it ok no trouble yet. but was out in it last night and it done it twice

Fuel pump relay for definate, fooking things I hate 'em!!!

I betcha it don't prie after it dies!! Purple relay under driver side dash, all melted and burnt on one connection

Only thing to do, cut relay holder from another car, solder in a decent place add a new relay job done, just don;tlet it hang and mount it on the plate under dash properly

None of which I have done myself yet LOL

you might find that getting the holder from another injection escort/orion will be needed, this is where the problem starts, i have 3 relays in the car, one for everytime it gets too hot and change em over LOL

I really need to solder in the new holder...

Yeah thanx james i was dreading taking it out yesterday and alex promised me it was sorted so i risked it in the traffic lol usually it dies quite a few times and not once did it die pheww I was starting to really hate that car lol

strip the wires, twist em round bit of masking tape, voila!!!
