Whats the condition and the mileage on the bottem end?
Is it a hemi or a lean burn?

hi, bottom end seems fine, the car was on approx 120k with no smoke or noise before it failed the mot on rust big time ! as far as hemi or lean burn, i dont know, sorry to be a bit vague, it was a 1800cc 1992 130bhp XR3i, is there an easy identifiable way to tell the type of zetec ?

i should have pictures available by the weekend.

very doubtfull its a leen burn, thought they went out with the pre 83 cvh's

 

pre 83?, no!

lean burn came after 1986-

 

i thought all zetecs were the same on the 91 on xr's etc ?

 

all zetecs are hemi

 

Sold most of that car now, the bottom end is still available and is now on ebay under zetec bottom end !!!

i am about to strip an XR/RS2000 though, so more bits to follow !

 

slight update, more parts to go under the RS bits for sale as they are RS2000 bits !

Hi, yes the bottom end is still for sale, it was working fine when in my car, i only took the head off when I stripped the car (it failed the mot on major structural rust as usual ) as I was going to get it 'played with' but as usual it never happened, the bottom end is complete with sump, pump, oil spray bar and flywheel, its never been seperated, it would have to be meet or collection though, im in Wiltshire but may be able to meet up ?

i haventy got an XR3i ecu now, that sold a while back, but i will have an RS2000 one very soon, my car has rusted away...

 

the bottom end is still for sale @ £30, i lost the details of a guy who was interested, so here it incase he's watching !
