Does anyone have pics of Ash Black and Polaris Grey Escort's so I can finally confirm one way or the other as to what colour my car is. By the colours in a brochure, it's Polaris, but cars I've seen on here that are said to be that colour don't look like mine. Looking back through old posts, I found one that had been for sale that looks more like mine, but was described as Ash Black.

 

what year is yours mate i think ash black was L reg onwards and polaris was upto L reg ish!! hope this helps mate

Ash black is metallic black, plus i think it was a small turbo only colour..

Polaris grey is metallic grey, big turbo only colour..

Correct! Solid black on the early ones, then changed to ash black,,, think it was some point in '94

 

You're probably right mate, i've never seen a big t in ash though

Mine is a Jan 94 build, big turbo. Going by the pics, I can finally confirm that it is Ash Black. Thanks all for clearing that up.
