Just stick a whole new rack on it dude.

Just dont buy a ford one! they are mega expensive. There are plenty of pattern ones of good quality (around Ł60).

Might be internals of the Steering rack. There isn't alot else other than Track Rod Ends.

yup 4 bolts bolted to the bulk head, and the actual steering bit clamped the column.

its more fiddly than complicated.

one of the bolts is very hard to get to with the gearbox and craddle in place but I managed to get to it with a wobble bar.

just which one to buy now

Burton power sell standard one at Ł53.45 INC VAT (exchange) or one from
Quaife "RHD FORD ESCORT MK3/4 FWD QUICK RACK & PINION KIT
2.78 turns lock to lock" for just Ł72 is it worth the extra Ł20 for a quick rack maybe ?

I've got a QH one on mine, was about Ł60 I think.

AndyRST has a quick rack on his, I think he quite rates it, but but I think it makes the steering heavier.
