Default RS FOCUS ALLOYS WHAT WOULD THEY FIT ET42 OFFSET?

I have a set of RS focus alloys which i put up for sale what would they fit with a et42 offset.

ET42 8j x 18

will they go on a RST with 215/35 18 tyres?

how does the offset work is it the lower the number the more they stick in higher the offset the more the stick out.

The higher the offset, the more the wheels stick in. Most modern Fords use quite a high Offset (higher then Et40).

Ive got ET45 on my mk6, and the yfit fine! So might fight a mk6!
