I heard that you can use the US eagle rods for the Focus Zetec if you use the piston from the same engine.

Do you know what CR i would be looking at using eagle rods with standard 1800 pistons on a standard silver top Zetec 1800.

Do you need to make any modifications to the rods, to make em fit?

 

Have a chat with Ian Howell mate, Bassboy of here has been speaking with him about these Rods, meant to be pretty bloody good IIRC

Ferriday Engineering are gonna make a copper plate so i get the correct C/R

Aren't the gudgeon pins of a different diameter on the silver and black top zetecs?

 

im interested in these items to build a zetec turbo. which engine type would i need????i know you need to get the rods shipped over....how much did you get them for in dollars jamesS2RS??? and how much did they end up costing in pounds by the time they ended up at your door? they come arp bolts as well dont they?? Does anyone know if the accralite zetec turbo pistons that burton power sell fit on to the EAGLE rods??????????????????

 

i've got eagle rods and je pistons from the states at the time $330 for the rods and $429 for the pistons $100 posting then once they were here Ł117 tax so a grand total exchange rate @ the time $1.92 Ł564 but there are better rods out there not saying anything wrong with these rods.

 

Well done my son. At the end of the day WE are all ater most BHP 4 Ł that we can Get. The way i look at it, they've got to be better than the standard rods.Standard rods can take 280Bhp, i want around 300 - 330bhp. These will be more than good enough for me!!! Why should people invest so much money in expensive rods over here,when you can get STEEL RODS AND PISTONS which will be more than enough 4 most for less!!!!!!!!! and still have pocket change [/b]

well in that case i know what im getting then that'll be plenty for what i need.
