Can I expect any problems? and where is the best place to put the axel stands so the car can sit on them for a week while I get the rear beam painted and the rear bushes / brakes etc. done?

you should have no probs at all.

place the axel stands net to the donut mounting,fit in there good and out the way while you take the back off.

have a good jack also, preferably 2 jacks,one either side.

will be fun getting it back on.
