uprated engine mounts cossie4x4
just after abit of feedback about vibatech or collins engine mounts for the 4x4.
Am about to put my new lump in and was looking at replacing the standard ones.
Any one mount better than the other and how harsh is the ride over the standard ones.
Also would u need to uprate the gearbox mount as well, because collins only do the engine mount and no gearbox.
Cheers.

The vibra-technics ones can be quite harsh compared to the collins ones
on my first 4x4 saph i fitted all 3 from vibra-technics and after fitting the gearbox 1 u could hear every noise the box made i then removed it and brought a genuine ford 1.
on my lastest saph i fitted the Collins engine mounts and i though they where far better than the vibra ones and nicer looking too
I'm now stripping my car and have a set of these Collins mounts for sale done only 2000 miles all been running in miles
Pm me if u r interested

bttt!
would you notice collins ones vibrating at idle speed or is there really no difference?
what about escort cosworth ones? i see they have a different part number to saff ones yet still fit, am i right in assuming they're a revised design to saff ones?
