seen a new one on ebay any one know the advantages over a 200 block if any. first time i heard one of these just curious peeps

Yep. All the 202 signifies is that it's 2.0 litre block and designed in 1992. The last digit is the year e.g.

205 = 2.0 litre 1985
200 = 2.0 litre 1990

AFAIK they have some improvements over a 205 block. Brom did some research into these.

bit better than 205's but BUT not good for big power inplants iirc

Better than 205

Not as good as 200

Thicker walled like the 200 block but the cylinder wall thickness doesn't get thicker like on the 200 block.

Can't be long studded.

On the plus side doesn't have that big core plug at the rear of the 200 blocks.

On the advise of my engine builder I used one in my 380bhp saph and would happily do so again.
